There are many groups and forums on the internet that provide for discussion among women of various religious beliefs on the issue of modest dress. THIS group is for Jewish women (or women who are in the process of conversion) who observe tznius (modest clothing, head covering, taharas mishpocha...) and for Jewish women who would like to learn more about tznius. THIS group allows for discussion on a personal level as well as halacha behind tznius. Feel free to discuss everything within the scope of tznius (including family, children, work, etc.) Anything that is affected or influenced by your observance of tznius is kosher for discussion. Orthodox Halacha is the foundation of this group. While the group is open to non-Orthodox women as well, the underlying assumptions of the dialogue on this list is that O perspectives are correct. We respectfully ask that all members remember this and refrain from making posts which are in direct opposition to this stance. I am a co-moderator of this group. |
