| | Holiday ConnectionsOne of the things I love about Judaism is the way we find ways to tie our various holidays together (below are ones I've heard of or had suggested.): - Re-using/making something new out of the etrog from Sukkot for Tu B'Shevat
- Some burn their "lulav" when burning their chometz for pesach
- Some plant parsley at Tu B'Shevat to use for the karpas for pesach (a friend Sharon's tradition)
- Planting a tree when a child is born - and branches are used for the chuppah poles when the child marries
- Leftover Matza from pesach - used for tashlich (on an non-Yom Tov day when its ok to feed the fish) -my husband's tradition
